課程概述

In this class we review classical thermodynamics and introduce the fundamentals of
statistical thermodynamics and their applications in solving chemical engineering
problems. In particular, we emphasize the concept of equilibrium and a systematic
approach to calculate various types of phase equilibria using thermodynamic models.
The connection between macroscopic thermodynamic properties and microscopic
molecular interactions through statistical thermodynamics will be introduced.

2. Understanding fugacity and its application in phase equilibrium calculations
3. Handling real world problems with AspenPlus
4. Principles and applications of statistical thermodynamics
5. Understanding the connections between molecular interactions and
thermodynamic properties of fluids
